Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI) - Preschool

Over the course of ten (10) sessions, the instructors will provide virtual training to teachers, care providers and coaches preparing them to identify, understand, and apply stronger Pre-K CLASS® interactions to their classroom. Teachers will be able to observe, discuss, and identify effective teaching behaviors as described across the three Pre-K CLASS Domains: Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support.

Training Details

Intended Audience: Open to all center-based early learning programs serving preschool children in San Mateo County. (A separate MMCI training series for Infants & Toddlers will be offered in the winter of 2022.)

Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays - October 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th, & November 2nd & 4th

Time: 5:30 AM - 7:30 PM (we ask participants to log onto the Zoom Meeting 15 minutes prior to the start of the training to test audio and visual access)

Participants must attend the entirety of the training series (10 2-hour sessions) to receive attendance credit.

Location: Online Training via Zoom (screened device recommended to visually follow along with presentation)

Registration deadline: Friday, September 24, 2021

Notes: There will be no cost to participants to attend the training. However, advanced registration is required. For providers who wish to receive professional development credit for this training, an ECE Workforce Registry Number is also required.

Materials: Materials for the training will be provided at no extra cost to participants. However, participants must be available to pick-up materials at the San Mateo County Office of Education the week prior to the training start date. Dates & Times for pick-up will be arranged after registration deadline.
